Nova Similars C18™ is a traditional reversed-phase HPLC stationary phase manufactured on high-purity Type-B spherical silica with a fully endcapped octadecyl (C18) bonded phase. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to Waters™ Nova-Pak® columns, it offers comparable chromatographic behavior for USP L1 methods while providing the strong hydrophobic retention, reproducibility, and broad applicability expected from a conventional C18 stationary phase.
64418-10P-4 is a 100 mm x 4.0 mm ID analytical column packed with 4 µm Nova Similars C18 particles. The 100 mm length provides an excellent balance between analysis speed and chromatographic resolution, making it suitable for routine analytical methods, quality control testing, and method development. The 4 µm particle size provides improved efficiency and somewhat sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm columns while maintaining moderate operating pressure. The 4.0 mm ID format is commonly selected for legacy methods and typically operates at approximately 0.8–1.5 mL/min.
